The Thirty-four registered objectives and
functions are, to:
1)
Promote world-wide awareness of
environmental and humanitarian purposes.
2)
Ensure that environmental
protection policies and operations are in compliance with full
concern for safeguarding public health and sustainable
development.
3)
Formulate and pursue effective
compliance programmes including procedures for informing all or
any types of corporation, company or group to be committed to
community development through the underlisted programmes:
i)
Introduction and implementation of
best practices from the development activities;
ii)
Improving incomes and welfare of
residents in host-communities
iii)
Institutionalizing participation
and execution for maximum sustainability
4)
Build broad-based professional
relationship, strategy alliance and partnership with key
academic institutions at all levels in pursuit of the
organization’s objectives; and for the supportive collaboration
and promotion of the United Nations activism.
5)
Provide suggestions, strategies,
designs and techniques of solving environmental problems and
provide modified ways and approaches for amelioration or
prevention of incidents.
6)
Advocate for support and
enhancement of human and environmental rights all levels.
7)
Focus activities and intervention
on sustainable community development programmes that have high
impact and broad benefit for the wider population.
8)
Organize periodical conferences,
seminars, debates and workshops on issues relating to the aims
and objectives contained in this constitution.
9)
Support the enforcement of
environmental laws and policies.
10)
Promote environmental politics,
environmental economics, environmental education, human rights
and humanitarian law.
11)
Identify and tackle environmental
problems, consequences; and suggest or recommend remedies.
12)
Promote habitual ethics,
privileges, orientations, peace, harmony; and resolve,
transform, manage or contribute to settlement of any disputes or
conflicts through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
mechanisms.
13)
Undertake consultancy projects and
programmes relating to the objectives and functions contained in
this constitution.
14)
Educate and enlighten the people on
political, cultural, socio-economic, educational, legal and
environment issues.
15)
Do all necessary things possible to
discourage, control or eradicate restiveness and other social
vices.
16)
Be a people’s movement for the
realization of the purposes of the United Nations.
17)
Educate about the gain support for
the aims, achievements and activities of the United Nations and
its agencies.
18)
Conduct studies, research and
activities relating to the United Nations system.
19)
Promote international and local
peaceful co-operation and understanding among peoples.
20)
Make representations to
governments, political groups, civil society, religious groups,
and their decision makers/leaders at all levels, with
opinion-forum on key United Nations issues or other concerned
matters.
21)
Endeavour, along with other
organizations, to promote harmony, as well as economic, social
and cultural progress in any concerned area or any part of the
world.
22)
Monitor to ensure that all persons,
groups, corporations or individuals or other agents carrying on
any activity, observe the principles of preservation of
biodiversity in each location and are able to balance economic
progress with environmental care, health and social
responsibility.
23)
Respond to human, people, civil and
environmental reports from people of a country, geographical
region, communities and individuals.
24)
Pursue the goal of the rule of law
in respect of environmental and humanitarian law.
25)
Organize programmes in ten(10) and
above disciplines in legal and general areas pertaining human
rights, environment and humanitarian management; and assess,
grade and award participants based on merit after
training/programme or module, as will be specified in the Code
of Standard and Procedure for Merit Award, Fellowship and
Membership of ISHERL.

Work in close link with other
environmental and humanitarian organizations to achieve maximum
sustainability.
27)
Prepare policy analysis and
recommendations on issues relating to environment, peoples and
human rights and humanitarian purposes, and development.
28)
Undertake any activity and adopt or
promote any measure or policy that shall aim at improving the
general conditions and wellbeing of the natural, cultural and
aesthetic environment.
29)
Work with academic institutions in
any part of the world that study or undertake programmes in
human rights, environmental and humanitarian law; and shall
organize special training programmes for companies, business
operators, organizations, associations.
30)
Carry out development programmes
and comprehensive research in legal and general areas pertaining
to human rights, environment, and sustainable development,
environmental and humanitarian management.
31)
Interact and mediate in divers’
socio-cultural, political, economic and environmental matters as
they relate to society building for the purpose of building a
harmonious world.
32)
Encourage and act as a buffer
between the governments and the governed as well as corporate
organizations and host communities at all levels.
33)
Undertake programmes that focus on
key development across themes, and;
34)
Carry out all such other activities
incidental to the effective realization of the aims and
objectives of the organization.
